Introduction
Welcome to the Wage Inspectorate Victoria’s child employment module.
This short course outlines an employer's responsibilities when employing children under the age of 15, as required by the Child Employment Act 2003 (the Act).
Victoria’s child employment laws protect children from doing work that can harm their health, wellbeing or development. The Act applies to the employment of children under the age of 15 and requires businesses hiring children to hold a child employment licence.
